About Us

Started as a group of friends that had Jeeps and enjoyed off-roading and camping together, "Stubbs Garage" quickly grew into an anti-establishment group of people. Not a club, but a group of people that didn't care for the family aspect of the established clubs. Stubbs Garage was all about getting out to wheel, camp, and have a good time with trusted and good friends.

Due to some conflicts with owners of other Jeep based websites, Stubbs Garage was closed, and "The Garage" came to be. We started to discuss forming an official club. Starting in 2004 the push was made to start getting the club officially off the gound. A domian, www.jeepgarage.ca, was registered, and work was start to get an official club site up and running. Hans at Ontario RV (ORV) was approached as a sponsor, and official garage of the club. Making The Jeep Garage the only club in Ontario built off a fully licensed shop.

After much debate, the membership and core "founders" decided it would better benefit The Garage to sign up with the Upper Canada 4 Wheel Drive Association. Not to say we have a hatred of Northern Lights, but UC4WD was a better fit for what we were looking for. A fee structure was setup and now we carry an insurance policy for our organized off road events.
